Blooms for Books: On Valentine's Day, Altrusa trades flower deliveries for literacy funds
For 13 years, Altrusa has partnered with Frazier’s Flowers on Valentine’s Day for their biggest fundraiser of the year. Altrusa members make hundreds of flower deliveries and keep a portion of the proceeds. All funds raised go towards their literacy initiatives in Statesboro.

Fixing the Boro continues free spays and neuters through second annual Neuter Year Celebration
Fixing the Boro recently held their 2nd Annual Neuter Year Celebration, offering free spays and neuters and received an overwhelming response. With the help of a grant awarded last year from the Georgia Department of Agriculture and the generosity of the community, they have been able to fund the spay and neuter of many cats and dogs in our community.
