Statesboro Fire continues smoke alarm blitz
The Statesboro Fire Department has a goal to distribute 500 free smoke alarms in the city. These smoke alarms have been donated to SFD by the American Red Cross.

BCSO seeking information on armed robbery at Valero on Kyle Sorrell Rd.
On Saturday, April 22, 2023, at or around 10:50pm, deputies responded to the Valero convenience store at 101 Kyle Sorrell Road, in reference to an armed robbery. The subject entered the store in all black clothing with a firearm. The subject appeared to be extremely pigeon-toed upon review of surveillance video. Anyone with information on the robbery should contact Investigator William Sims at 912-764-1767.
