Canoochee Paddle Race: A Celebration of Community and Conservation

Ogeechee Riverkeeper welcomes registrations for this year's Canoochee Paddle Race, which will be held Saturday, April 13. Trophies will be presented for timed winners as well as outlandish categories like Dynamic Duo, Funkiest Costume, Most Creative Boat, and the Lazy River Award for the slowest paddler. Georgia-based country artist Chris Stalcup will perform.

DNR announces t-shirt art winners in Youth Birding Competition

Eight budding bird artists have been selected as T-shirt Art Contest winners in Georgia’s 18 th annual Youth Birding Competition, according to the state Department of Natural Resources. A barred owl drawing by Aleena Huang, a Duluth eighth grader and SKA Academy of Art and Design student, led the contest’s 153 entries from 61 public, private and home schools statewide.

During the forum, family engagement specialists will share information about testing, individualized education plans, and 504 plans. Parents will also participate in a Title I input session. Come enjoy door prizes, light refreshments, and the Bulloch County Schools Book Bus at Mattie Lively Elementary. Childcare is provided for children in pre-K through 5th grade.
