Statesboro-Bulloch Library to host author meet and greet event Saturday afternoon

The Statesboro-Bulloch County Library will host its second annual free author Meet and Greet event on Saturday from 1-4pm. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and will feature 18 local authors, many of whom will have copies of their books available for purchase.

Join the Statesboro-Bulloch Library for an an Author Meet and Greet Saturday, April 27, from 1-4pm. The event is free to the public. 

This is the second annual Author Meet and Greet, sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Caroline Johnson, Library Manager, shares that she plans to have this event every year. Johnson says, “This meet and greet style lets us bring more authors in to meet the public.” Patrons will have the opportunity to browse the different authors' tables and ask questions, and some will have copies of their books available for purchase. 

The authors at the the Meet and Greet will include:

  • Julie Lavender- Her books include 365 Ways to Love Your Child, Children’s Bible Stories for Bedtime and To Grow in Faith and Love, Strength for All Seasons-A Mom’s Devotional of Powerful Verses and Prayer’s.
  • Donald Allen Jones-  His works include: Brave Man’s Country: Two Lewis Uncles Who Served in the Confederate Army and The Genealogist’s Journey: A Beginner’s Guide to Tracing Your Family Tree
  • Eva Richards- Her book, My Journey, My Path, My Passion will be featured. 
  • Janice Case- Featuring her debut novel: A New Life: A Story of Grief and Love
  • Sarah Ward- Featuring her debut middle grade novel: Victory Gallop
  • Tracy Henry- Author of The Little Girl Who Survived the Great Depression. Her second book, Captured, is coming out soon. 
  • Ileene Harden- Featuring her upcoming book Semele, Princess of Thebes.
  • Monique Washington- An author and public speaker who has published books which can be found at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
  • Sarah Taylor- Featuring her newly released children’s book, King Zara. 
  • Alyson Teal- Recently wrote and published her first children’s book. 
  • Emily Cowart Brown- Author of Every Morning When Mommy Brushes my Hair. 
  • Dr. Deborah Kittrell-Mikell- Author of The Kittrell Brothers of Kittrell, North Carolina Descendants of Sam Kittrell, Sr. and Agnes Hargrove. 
  • Helen Leonard- Author of The Ultimate High Roller-Memoirs of Tyson Leonard. 
  • John Parrish- Author of Birds of Georgia.
  • Tracey Branch- Author of Widow by the Water-Refreshing Words to Uplift and Encourage the Soul.
  • Deedria Faulkner- Author of Sunkisses Oshun.
  • Winter Hall- Author of Made for More-Finding Hope in the Midst of Darkness.  
  • David H. Hanks- Author of the nuclear thrillers, The Carson Griffin Series, and the true story, The Disappearance.
