Six new wildlife viewing projects awarded grants by DNR
The grants, funded by the Georgia Nongame Wildlife Conservation Fund, help develop and enhance wildlife viewing options, with an emphasis on State Wildlife Action Plan species and habitats. The proposals chosen by the DNR Wildlife Resources Division for this year’s Wildlife Viewing Program grants range statewide from Talking Rock Nature Park in Pickens County to Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island.

Update: Police believe Missing Candler County Mother and Daughter are in Puerto Rico
UPDATE: Police believe that the missing mom and daughter may be in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Anyone with contact with them are asked to contact Lyons PD at 912-526-3638. A Candler County mother and her 7 year old daughter, with Statesboro connections, have been missing since Friday, March 29th. They were last seen in Lyons, Georgia. Authorities are asking for anyone with information on them to please report it to Lyons PD or your local police department. Click on the picture to read more.
