Organized by United Way and Georgia Southern, these data walks are being used to identify the common issues and challenges facing our community by listening to and learning from the people who are actually experiencing them. Five Georgia fallen firefighters among those being honored May 4-5 at National Memorial

This year’s national tribute will honor 89 firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2023 and 137 firefighters who died in previous years. Local communities can participate in Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters from May 1-5 by lighting their homes, businesses, landmarks, or fire departments with red lights.
