2nd Annual Downtown Live Concert Series continues with The Maxx Band
The Maxx Band will take the Downtown Live Stage for the only concert in the month of July in the 2nd Annual Downtown Live Concert Series. Evening for the K9s: Georgia Police K9 Foundation event thrives in Statesboro, plans move to Columbus
The Georgia Police K9 Foundation's "Evening for the K9s" event at Ogeechee Technical College celebrated its continued success in supporting K9 units across the state this weekend. Over 1,000 K9 lovers attended and helped raise over $300k. The foundation has aided over 5,000 K9s with essential resources and garnered global recognition outside of the community.

GS Shooting Sports Education Center continues to grow in success and status
It's been almost ten years since Georgia Southern's Shooting Sports Education Center was built, and it continues to offer a wealth of recreational activities. Interstate Closure Advisory for the 16@95 Improvement Projects
Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) construction partners will close interstate lanes at the locations below for the 16@95 Improvement Projects, which will widen Interstate 16 (I-16) and reconstruct the I-16/I-95 Interchange. The lane closures are necessary for widening activities for I-16 and bridge work at the I-16/I-516 Interchange.

Averitt Center/Emma Kelly Theater remain open during facade renovations
The Emma Kelly Theater and Averitt Center for the Arts remain open while contractors make much needed repairs to the facade of the theater building. Contractors estimate that it will take approximately 30 days to complete the exterior renovations. Patrons should enter the theater through the Main Gallery entrance of the Averitt Center in the interim.
