Get ready for an unforgettable night of genuine, traditional country music, this Friday, August 15, at 7:30pm, as the Averitt Center for the Arts, in downtown Statesboro, welcomes back to The Emma Kelly Theater two of the best-known modern-day troubadours, Chris and Taylor, The Malpass Brothers.
Serving as dedicated torchbearers of classic country, rooted in firm “traditionalism,” the Malpass Brothers return to us the music we all love and have yearned to hear again – with the warmth of yesterday!
Performing both original songs and beloved country classics with remarkable soul and sincerity, the smooth vocals of The Malpass Brothers transport their audience back to that bygone era when the airwaves were bathed in the sounds of Hank Williams, Charlie Pride and Merle Haggard.
Opening the night is country music artist Aaron Tanner. Like the Malpass Brothers, Aaron Tanner is a returning music artist, having previously performed in the Averitt Center for the Arts’ Rising Creek music series back in 2020. Aaron Tanner is well known for his resonant baritone vocals, intricate guitar work, and lyrical depth inspired by the rich tones of southern bluegrass and gospel.
Do not miss this opportunity to experience the authentic sounds of real country, performed with real heart as the Malpass Brothers deliver another unforgettable performance.
