Local non-profit Lift As You Grow will host its inaugural Golf Pub Crawl this Saturday, May 18, 2024. The crawl begins at Gnat's Landing (470 S. Main St. in Statesboro) at 2pm. Tickets are $35 for individuals and $120 for foursomes. All individuals will be placed on a team for the crawl. You can purchase tickets or donate any amount to the cause here.
Lift As You Grow invites you to wear your best golf attire and bring your best foursome for a 'hole' lot of fun visiting nine different bars up and down The Blue Mile!
According to the organization, pub golf is essentially like playing a real game of golf, but instead of getting a ball in a hole, participants will consume specialty, predetermined drinks. Crawlers will visit nine different bars during the event, each of which will have a set of rules and a scorecard. The line-up includes Gnat's Landing, Dolan's Bar B Que, Del Sur Taqueria and Cantina, Vino 1910, Pour House Pub, Sugar Magnolia Bistro & Bar, Eagle Creek Brewing Company, Aura, and Tandoor & Tap.
Depending on how your team performs, you’ll gain strokes on your scorecard. The team with the lowest score at the end of the pub golf game is deemed the winner. There will also be a team winner for best dressed! Food will be provided along the way, and putting courses and other games will be set up at a few of the bars for extra fun.
Additional details will be sent out to registered teams/individuals leading up to the event.
