The 2024 Miss Brooklet Peanut Festival Pageant will be held at Brooklet Elementary School on September 14th, 2024 at 2:00pm, ahead of the much anticipated Peanut Festival on September 21.
The pageant is under the direction of Marley Thompson, who has been involved in pageants from a young age. Thompson says the pageants that have meant the most to her were local ones that were held in her community.
Currently, she holds the title of Miss Eastern States, part of the USA National Miss Organization. She has held numerous local titles including Preteen Miss Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair, Miss Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair, Preteen Miss Quint Shrine, Teen Miss Tattnall Shrine, Preteen Miss Bulloch County, and Miss Southeast Bulloch Middle School.
Thompson is excited to be involved in this years Brooklet Peanut Festival Pageant. She said, “I have always known I wanted to direct a local pageant. I couldn't have thought of a better idea than to bring the Miss Brooklet Peanut Pageant back to life to host for the Brooklet Community Downtown Association.”
Age divisions for the pageant include:
The festival Queens will have the opportunity to ride in the festival parade. The Miss winner will also be recognized on stage during the festival and awarded a $500 scholarship.
Thompson would like to thank the pageant's gracious sponsors who helped contribute towards the $500 scholarship: Storehouse Salvage, McCoy Homes, Frills by Scott, Armstrong Cricket Farm, and the Brooklet Community Downtown Association.
