At its recent spring commencement, East Georgia State College announced Jameson “Blaine” Salter as the recipient of the 2025 Rising Star Alumni Award.
The award, presented by Lisa Bertoch and Matt Donaldson of the EGSC Alumni Association Board, celebrates alumni who have graduated within the past decade and have achieved notable recognition in their field, demonstrating significant promise for continued success.
Blaine Salter’s journey is a testament to dedication, service, and excellence. Raised with a strong work ethic and a profound commitment to serving others, values instilled by his loving mother and grandparents, Salter embarked on his academic career at EGSC, where he earned his Associate of Arts degree in Political Science in 2019, laying a strong foundation for his future endeavors.
He furthered his education by graduating from Georgia Southern University and recently achieved a Master of Science degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Georgia College & State University.
Beyond his academic achievements, Salter has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to civic engagement, actively participating in various civic organizations and supporting public office campaigns. His dedication extends to his faith community as an active and welcoming member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church in Bogart, Georgia.
A native South Georgian who spent nine formative years in Bulloch County and is a 2017 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School, Salter’s professional success is also noteworthy. He currently serves as a Specialist for Perigold, a luxury home furnishings brand under Wayfair. His professionalism and dedication have been recognized with two prestigious Wayfair Amethyst Awards in 2023 and 2024, followed by an Outstanding Customer Service Award in 2025, highlighting his unwavering commitment to excellence.
Salter’s accomplishments serve as an inspiration to current and future EGSC students, demonstrating the transformative power of education and community involvement.
