The City of Statesboro hosted an Open House public forum for discussion on its newly drafted Unified Development Code. The city's current zoning code is 40 years old, and with the future growth and development expected to come the area, a new UDC is being drafted to help merge existing codes with newer codes into a single, user-friendly document. The next public hearing is July 10.
