Donny Collins named OTC Instructor of the Year

Computer Information Systems instructor Donny Collins received the 2024 Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction at OTC's Spring Faculty & Staff Meeting and Awards Ceremony. He will move on to the regional competition in Tifton next month. Barry Dotson, Tom Elrod, Rachel Rigdon, and Christina Harrell were also honored at the ceremony.

Rural Georgia gets world’s first sustainable jet fuel factory of its kind

Georgia is now home to the world’s first sustainable jet fuel factory to use “alcohol-to-jet” technology, which converts ethanol to lower-carbon jet fuel for commercial aircraft. This fuel process is designed to cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 70%, compared to conventional jet fuel.

2024 Little Eagles Baseball Clinic registration now open

A free Little Eagles Baseball Clinic, presented by Optim Orthopedics and Chick-Fil-A Statesboro, will be held this Saturday, February 3, following an open practice of the Georgia Southern baseball team. The one-hour clinic will begin at 3pm and include fun drills for kids ages 6-12. Registration forms can be found below.
