Nerf Night Returns! Local children enjoy Friday Night Fun at the Bulloch Recreation Department

The Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Department hosted its popular "Nerf Night" on Friday, January 26, at the Sue Oertley Tennis Complex. Community Recreation Program Supervisor Justin Smith says this is just one way the department loves to provide clean, safe fun for the kids in our community.

The Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Department's "Nerf Night" returned on Friday, January 26, at the Sue Oertley Tennis Complex.

Pre-registration was required as spots were limited, with the cost being $7 per kid to participate. There were two age group sessions, Nerf Nuggets (Ages 6-9) and Nerf Ninjas (Ages 9-14) to choose between, and two time slots for participation.

The Bulloch Rec Department supplied Nerf bullets, while the participants brought their own Nerf guns.

"Having Nerf nights is something that I used to do with my college roommates and college ministry group back in my spare time. Part of my job now with the Bulloch Rec Department is to create fun programs and opportunities for locals here in Bulloch County. I brought this idea to life and the kids seem to be really enjoying it," Justin Smith, Community Recreation Program Supervisor, said.

"A highlight from tonight's Nerf night has been seeing the kids have fun. Any time that we can provide clean and safe fun for locals on a Friday night (especially during no football season), it's what we love to do," Smith said.

Bulloch Rec will hold two more Nerf Nights this spring on Friday, February 23, and Friday, March 22.
