During the June 13 Brooklet City Council meeting, the council welcomed its new member, Sheila Wentz, along with announcing that Benjamin Perkins will be the city's new attorney. The Brooklet Farmer's Market was also discussed.

Benjamin Perkins, partner with Oliver Maner LLP, and Andrew Lavoie and Marc Bruce, partners of Bruce Mathews and Lavoie Attorneys at Law, were interviewed by the Brooklet City Council for the role of City Attorney that will become vacant at the end of this month.

A runoff election for County Commission Seat 2C will take place in Bulloch County on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Early voting will begin Monday, June 10 and will run until Friday, June 14.

The Bulloch County Board of Education met June 6, 2024. In a notable change, the weeklong February break ends with the approval of FY26 calendar. The board also congratulated two schools in the district for receiving a total of $20,000 in grants from the Georgia Department of Education for the expansion of fine arts education programs.
