Musicians from four middle schools band together; Free public concert is March 14

Student musicians from Langston Chapel, William James, Southeast Bulloch and Portal middle schools will showcase their collective talents during a free, public concert on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m., in the Langston Chapel Middle School Gymnasium. The event is also a last formal rehearsal prior to the group competing in the Southern Star Music Festival in Atlanta on March 15. This new collaboration fosters talent and festival participation.

The Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music will present two performances of the 2024 Strings at Southern Chamber Music Festival, co-directed by Drs. Steven and Larisa Elisha. The first performance takes place on Saturday, February 17 in the Carol A. Carter Recital Hall, and the second performance takes place on Sunday, February 18 at the Performing Arts Center, both on the Statesboro campus.
