Crystal Anderson from WorkSource Georgia recently visited an ACCT1100 Financial Accounting class at OTC to educate students on the many resources available to them through their organization.

Recognizing that many students were just beginning their college journey, Anderson detailed how WorkSource Georgia can assist with career counseling, job search help, skills training, and tuition reimbursement for students in high-demand career fields like accounting.

“Crystal helped our students understand that tuition assistance depends on factors like whether their program is tied to an in-demand industry and if they plan to work in Georgia after graduation,” said Angie Glisson, Accounting Instructor at OTC. “She also shared all the other ways WorkSource Georgia supports students – like career guidance, help with resumens and interview skills, and access to current job market information.”

Anderson urged students to explore the WorkSource Georgia website and their local office to learn more about these opportunities. The visit provided valuable insights for the introductory accounting students, revealing crucial support systems available to them as they begin their academic and professional journeys.
