Students at Mill Creek Elementary, Southeast Bulloch Middle, Statesboro High, Stilson Elementary, Nevils Elementary, and Sallie Zetterower Elementary schools will enjoy Mack Family Farm potatoes this week. 

The Board of Education honored six highly achieving students, and another roster of students committed to futures as educators, all who will be graduating with the class of 2024. Fox attended Ogeechee Tech to pursue an associate degree in Construction Management. After some time in this field, he then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, where he found his true passion.

SEB's Wright, who is also the Bulloch County Teacher of the Year and a Georgia Teacher of the Year finalist, won at the local and district levels and placed 2nd at the state level of the National Veterans of Foreign Wars Teacher program.

Students from the Automotive Technology and Manufacturing Engineering Technology programs are currently job-shadowing at industries in Dortmund, Germany.

The bill not only mandates the State Board of Education to establish a program for the Department of Education to allocate funds for eligible teachers to purchase school supplies online but also provides for universal reading screeners to be adopted, used and administrated in every Georgia public school and local school system. Senators Clint Dixon and Billy Hickman collaborated on the legislation.
