This week, hundreds of Baptists from across Georgia have gathered in Statesboro for the 2024 annual meeting of the Georgia Baptist Convention. While the meeting brings a significant economic boost to the city, attendees are also making a positive impact through local service projects aimed at supporting residents affected by recent hurricanes.

The Grice Connect team has worked to compile a list of ways our community is coming together to honor our Veterans and active duty military members. This list includes some of the events, free meals and discounts businesses are providing to honor Veterans. Feel free to add others events or discounts for Veterans in the comments on social media.

The American Legion Dexter Allen Post 90 invites the Statesboro community to their annual Veterans Day tribute honoring the dedication and sacrifices of our service members. This year’s program, hosted at the Averitt Center for the Arts on November 11th, will feature special music, refreshments, and a keynote address by Chaplain (LTC) Nick Spletstoser.
