National Night Out 2022 (2)

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood companionship to make our neighborhoods safer places to live.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Free Event

The Statesboro Police Department is hosting a free community event to celebrate National Night Out. This event will be on Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Statesboro Police Department Headquarters, 25 West Grady Street. Families are invited out to enjoy a wide variety of activities.

There will be a water balloon fight between the Statesboro Police Department and Statesboro Fire Department, a dunk tank for kids to dunk a police officer or firefighter, a meet and greet with our K9 teams, vehicles on display for a touch-a-truck display, and even more! Free hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and snow cones will also be available.

Come out and celebrate!
