The Lift As You Grow organization will host a yard sale on Saturday, January 28, from 9am-1pm in the parking lot of the Outreach Center at 515 Denmark Street in Statesboro.
Shoppers can expect to find clothes, children's toys, household items, crafts and more, all being sold to benefit the organization's mission.

Lift As You Grow is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Statesboro that empowers vulnerable and at-risk women by providing economic mobility through part-time, transitional employment and adult education, as well as a safe space for a healing and healthy society.
The organization offers a 12-week program of weekly classes that help participants with financial literacy, skill-building, e-learning certificates, and goal setting. Additional community mentorship is provided to educate them on housing options, medical resources, and nutrition. The program also works with individuals by providing counseling, transitional employment or job placement, childcare, and additional resources the participants may need to transition to a positive life and success to support themselves and their families.
Additionally, as part of their transitional employment, program participants pour candles by hand, after creating the scents. These handmade candles are available online.
Our goal is to prevent unemployment, homelessness, and abuse by bridging the gaps some women need by providing the resources to allow them to choose a secure and confident path to become productive citizens and thriving individuals.
