On Saturday, June 7th, Habitat for Humanity of Bulloch County will host Serving for Shelter, a pickleball tournament, to support their work building homes, communities, and hope in Bulloch County. Funds raised will support the construction of six new homes for low-income families in Statesboro.

“This event is going to be even better than last year!” said Dr. Kristina Patterson, Member of Habitat for Humanity of Bulloch County Board of Directors. “With the help of Bob Massee (Statesboro High Head Volleyball Coach and pickleball aficionado) and great feedback from last year’s players, this year we have even more teams registered and three player brackets. We’re so grateful for our generous sponsors and players. With their support we can work to ensure that more families in Bulloch County have a safe, decent, affordable place to live.”

Davis Heating & Air is the presenting sponsor. Anders CPAs, Bulloch Solutions, Hall & Navarro, LLC, and Southern Company are court sponsors. Citizens Bank, Ellis Wood Contracting, Lee Hill & Johnston Insurance, South Auction, and SYNOVUS are sponsoring registration, water, cooling, and first aid stations.

The tournament will be held on June 7, 9am-1pm at the Bulloch Recreation and Parks Honey Bowen courts at 1 Max Lockwood Drive. Please come out and cheer on your favorite team and enter the raffle for a Yeti cooler!
