Savannah SCORE offers workshop series

New Year, new skills? Savannah SCORE is offering a new workshop series for entrepreneurs to kick start the new year. 

Beginning on Jan. 10, Savannah SCORE will host a series of workshops geared to guiding new and emerging entrepreneurs through the business landscape. 

Reality Check - What every aspiring business owner needs to know workshop

Presenter, Michael Siegel has extensive experience starting and growing businesses, franchising, business automation, and process improvement. He will provide the “straight scoop” on what it takes to become a successful business owner. 

Workshop attendees will get a better understanding of how to protect unique business and ideas as well as knowing and understanding the regulations around W-2 employees and I-9 contractors. 

The workshops will take place on Jan. 10, Feb. 14 and March 14 from 12 to 1 p.m. Attendees can participate online or in-person at the Savannah Entrepreneurial Center. 

Understanding intellectual property and labor and employment law workshops

Join presenter, Bill Bruner for the Understanding Intellectual Property and Labor and Employment Law workshops. Bruner has been practicing law for over 40 years and will clear the air on pressing legal issues.

Understanding Intellectual Property will be held on Jan. 11 and March 8 from 12 to 1 p.m. Labor and Employment Law will take place on Feb. 8 from 12 to 1 p.m.

Grow with Google 

Chapter chair of Savannah SCORE, Jessica Belfry will be presenting Grow With Google, Launch Your Business with Customer Focused Marketing workshop. 

Belfry has experience beginning with the ideation phase, to branding and building all the way through acquisition. Entrepreneurs in this workshop will learn how to create a compelling brand, define your audience, convert customers and build loyalty and advocacy. 

Grow with Google is slated for Feb. 7 and March 7 from 12 to 1 p.m.
