Statesboro Varsity Tennis gets True Blue send off

This has been a second round tradition that Statesboro has started this past year

Statesboro High School held their third “True Blue” Spirit Walk of the year today to send off the Blue Devil Tennis Teams. They both will be traveling to Union Grove for the second round of the state playoffs.

Student Matthew Jackson sang the National Anthem as the color guard presented the plays while the marching Blue Devil band played the fight song.

Anna Washington and girls varsity coach Brian Hall spoke on behalf of the girls team and Davis Hill and boys varsity coach Iesha Baldwin spoke for the boys team.

Katelyn Sullivan was also celebrated for her success on the tennis court and got to show off her State Championship trophy.

If you would like to participate in these send-offs, the varsity Blue Devil baseball squad will be having a send off on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Mill Creek at 9 a.m.

They will be traveling to Decatur to take on Decatur High School in the first round of the GHSA Region 1, Class 5A baseball playoffs.
