Statesboro High Tennis celebrates record-breaking season and player honors

Statesboro High School's tennis teams are celebrating a successful season with multiple players earning top honors in Subregion 1 AAAAA, including Players of the Year Naomi Feltman and Xavier Deckard, alongside a record-breaking win count for the girls' squad.

Statesboro High School's tennis program is celebrating a remarkable season, marked by individual player accolades and a record-setting performance by the girls' team.

The Statesboro High School girls' tennis team achieved a new school record with an impressive 22 wins this season. Leading the way was Naomi Feltman, who was named Player of the Year for Subregion 1 AAAAA. Joining her with First Team honors were Maxine Feltman at 2nd singles and Ada Lacienski at 3rd singles. In doubles play, Annalia Small and Lindsay Collins secured a First Team spot at 1st doubles, while Lorelei Prosser and Nellie Watanabe were also named to the First Team at 2nd doubles.

On the boys' side, Xavier Deckard earned the prestigious title of Player of the Year for Subregion 1 AAAAA. Davis Hall was recognized as a First Team All-Region selection at 2nd singles. The duo of Sean Kim and Carter Copeland also earned First Team All-Region honors in 2nd doubles. Adding to the boys' achievements, Luke Watanabe was named Second Team All-Region at 3rd singles, and Asher Hodgin and Griffin Green were selected for the Second Team All-Region in 1st doubles.

This season's achievements highlight the dedication and talent within the Statesboro High School tennis program, showcasing the hard work of both the players and their coaches. The school and community celebrate their outstanding accomplishments.
