SEBHS girls tennis advances to Elite 8 of state playoffs

The Lady Jackets take on Pace Academy in the next round at home.

The Southeast Bulloch High School (SEBHS) Lady Jackets hosted Spaulding County High School out of Griffin in the second round of the state playoffs on Wednesday, April 26. 

Rylee Veland put the Jackets up 1-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles. Anna Grace Bosley continued the win streak with a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles to put the Jackets up 2-0. Anna Kate Higgs and Reagan Boyles sealed the win with a 6-1, 6-0 win at first doubles. Laina Erickson and Addie Smith were just behind with a 6-1, 6-0 win at second doubles, and Lydia Fowler wrapped up the sweep of the second round of state with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.

With the victory today, the Lady Jackets earn their spot in the elite eight, a first for SEBHS Tennis.
