Nine Eagles Picked As Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference

The Eagles are stacked this season — nine Georgia Southern football players just snagged Preseason All-Sun Belt honors, and the squad is flying into 2025 with major hype and second place in the East division predictions.

Nine Georgia Southern football players have been voted to the Preseason All-Sun Belt squad, as released Monday afternoon by the conference. The team was voted on by coaches and selected media who cover the league.

The Eagles placed seven players on the first team: senior defensive tackle Latrell Bullard, senior offensive lineman Caleb Cook, junior receiver Josh Dallas, senior defensive back Chance Gamble, senior linebacker Brendan Harrington, junior punter Alex Smith and senior offensive lineman Pichon Wimbley. Senior receiver Dalen Cobb and junior defensive back Tracy Hill Jr. were both named to the second team.

As a team, Georgia Southern was picked second in the East Division. The Eagles are slated to open their season on Aug. 30 at Fresno State.
