The celebration took place at the Home Builders Association, where longtime member Dr. Henry “Jack” Proctor was honored as an Emeritus Member. Proctor was recognized for his three decades of dedication and "service above self" to both Rotary and the local community.
Dr. Proctor, is a 30-year Rotarian who has served the Downtown Statesboro Rotary Club in many capacities since he joined as a Charter Member in 1995. He served as Club President for 2000-2001, and he is a Four-time Paul Harris Fellow.
In 2021, the two Rotary Clubs in Statesboro recognized Jack for his service to the citizens of Bulloch County and honored him with the Rotary Citizen of the Year award.
Jack enjoys attending Rotary meetings and being with members. He always attends club functions, socials and events, whatever is on the calendar.
His leadership by example has inspired fellow members, and his impact on our Rotary family has been impressive. From service projects to fellowship, Jack is woven into the very fabric of our Club. His commitment to making a difference has been a guiding light for us all.
In the past few months, Jack has been unable to attend meetings, and he recently gave notice he thought it was time to resign from the club. But that would not be. Jack’s resignation was not approved by the board of directors. The Club had other plans.
To Jack…
In recognition of your remarkable service and achievements and the lasting impression you have made on our lives, we are thrilled to present you with Emeritus Membership. This is more than just a title, it is a testament to your indelible mark on our club and our community and the values you uphold.
Emeritus Membership Status is an honor for Jack’ exemplary service to Downtown Rotary and will give Jack a continuation of belonging to Rotary and the Downtown Statesboro Club.
Jack, please know how much we appreciate and love you and Mrs. Beverly.
