Georgia Southern (GS) women's soccer senior defender Sade Heinrichs has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Player to Watch list for the 2023 season.
Heinrichs is one of 35 student-athletes on the list of defenders. The lists are being released for the first time this season by the Division I All-America Committee to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the 2023 regular season.
The list includes United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and first or second team All-Region players from 2022.
Heinrichs is a Monchengladbach, Germany, native and was the Sun Belt Conference's Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 and a second-team All-Southeast Region honoree from the organization.
She started in all 17 matches for the Eagles and anchored a back line that conceded just 12 goals all season long for a school-record 0.71 GAA. Heinrichs missed only 30 minutes of action all year and went into the 2023 season as a preseason All-Sun Belt Conference honoree.
