Georgia Southern Athletics has launched its new comprehensive giving initiative — The Eagle Victory Perch Plan — aimed at advancing the success of Eagle student-athletes and reinforcing Georgia Southern's mission to compete at the highest level of collegiate athletics.

There have been numerous changes to college athletics, especially in the past month, in regards to the settlement of the NCAA vs. House case. The biggest change is that institutions can now provide direct financial benefits to student-athletes as part of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) and licensing activities. Previously, NIL opportunities were only available through third-party arrangements.

The Eagle Victory Perch Plan consists of five ways to give to the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation and support your Eagles. The EVP Plan features, in alphabetical order:

  • Capital/Facility Project Funds
  • Competitive Excellence Fund
  • Eagle Nation Fund
  • Erk Russell Fund
  • Sport-Specific Agency Fund

These five funds will serve as an avenue for donors and Eagle Nation to contribute directly to initiatives that impact the programs and student-athletes, including revenue-sharing models and NIL support structures.

Capital/Facility Project Funds
• Contributions to capital projects such as the Anthony P. Tippins Family Training Facility, the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center, the Steverson Family Baseball Facility and other future projects help enhance the development of student-athletes' abilities while providing a first-class experience during their time in Statesboro.
• Capital projects also provide programs with new recruiting advantages and enhanced fan engagement opportunities throughout the season.

Competitive Excellence Fund
• Focused on helping Eagle student-athletes achieve excellence in the classroom and through their sport by providing additional athletic department operational support.
• Used to attain and retain top-level coaches who ensure student-athletes compete in a championship environment.

Eagle Nation Fund
• Donations to the ENF, which are tax-deductible, will provide expanded licensing (NIL) opportunities to Eagle student-athletes in this new era of college athletics.
• The ENF will position Georgia Southern Athletics to compete at the highest level and win championships while sustaining academic success and keeping student-athletes at the heart of everything we do.

Erk Russell Fund
• Contributions to the ERF support scholarships for the approximately 400 student-athletes as they work to earn a degree from Georgia Southern.
• Members receive benefits for their donations, and they fulfill requirements for Eagle football, men's and women's basketball and baseball tickets.

Sport-Specific Agency Fund
• Gifts designated to a specific sport will assist coaches in achieving their vision to successfully elevate their program within the Sun Belt and nationally.
