Mr. Robert Haygood II, age 79, passed away on May 14, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Ga. Robert was born to Robert William Haygood and Lorene Brookings Haygood in College Park, Ga. He graduated in 1963 from Forest Park High School where he played baseball and football.
Robert loved the outdoors and spent many days fishing, cleaning his pickup truck or maintaining his yard. In his working days, Robert was a car salesman and then he traveled around the country working for FEMA. He loved to have a good time with his friends and family and he never met a stranger.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert William Haygood and Lorene Brookings Haygood.
He is survived by his children, Barry Charles Haygood, Angela Haygood Smith, and Robert William Haygood III; his sister, Roslyn (Gus) Pike; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Benny Granade.
