Players took the field at Allen Paulson Stadium for preseason camp on Aug. 2. The team is welcoming lot of new faces this season. The Eagle roster features 97 returning players and 32 newcomers since the spring. GS returns a total of 10 starters, seven offense and three on defense, and 36 letterwinners.

The first-round of grant funding for fiscal year 2024 includes a total of 269 grants across 47 counties in three funding categories. The bridge grant will provide funding for operating support to 162 nonprofit arts organizations, including the Averitt Center.
