EGSC to hold Investiture Ceremony to install Dr. David Schecter as president

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia named Dr. Schecter the sixth president of East Georgia State College on January 3, 2022. His Investiture will take place on Friday, October 13, at 11am in the Luck Flanders Gambrell Building on EGSC’s Swainsboro campus.

This year's Gary Oglesby Memorial Youth Fishing Rodeo will be held at the Mill Creek Park pond this coming Saturday morning. The Bulloch Bass Club invites local children ages 5-15 to participate in a morning of FREE family-fun and fishing at the annual event.

Georgia to open wait list for Housing Choice Voucher Program

Applications will be open from October 17, 2023, at midnight until October 20, 2023, at  11:59 p.m. Formerly known as Section 8, this HUD‐funded program assists low‐income families and individuals to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing. This is the first time since 2021 that the HCV wait list has been opened to serve additional eligible applicants.
