Arrest warrants have been issued by Statesboro Police Department for Kentaevious Davis, age 20, with a Glennville, GA address. Anyone with knowledge about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact SPD immediately. He is considered armed and dangerous. Click on the picture to read more.

In response to the community's overwhelming support of its Valentine's drive, Safe Haven announces an Easter Basket drive that will help create special memories for their families this Easter. Adopt an egg from their bulletin board and fill a basket for a child this Easter! The Easter Basket drive will be held March 1st through March 20th.

Eagles to play strong home slate this season

Georgia Department of Transportation continues essential road work throughout Southeast Georgia.  As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, March 2 through Friday, March 8. 

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program has selected three Georgia Southern University Honors College seniors as semifinalists for 2024-2025.

This year’s competition features a week-plus window for teams of students in kindergarten through high school to bird and the option to submit checklists early via email, allowing judges to review them before teams check-in at Charlie Elliott conference center for the banquet and awards ceremony on April 20.

The midyear budget is highlighted by a $300 million appropriation for $1,000 one-time pay supplements for Georgia's public school teachers and state and university system employees.
