Suspect dies in shootout with deputies outside of Statesboro
On June 18, 2024, a chaotic series of events which led to an officer-involved shooting at the Gas Pro Travel Center on Highway 301 South, resulting in the death of 25-year-old man from Warner Robins, Georgia. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is now conducting an independent investigation into the incident.
