Heather Gonzales named Bulloch County Teacher of the Year

As a middle school art teacher, Heather Gonzales’s influence reaches far beyond the classroom. Her personal experience with dyslexia has shaped her teaching philosophy, and she has become a beacon of support and encouragement to her students who face their own struggles in and out of the classroom, teaching them not only the technical skills of art but also the resilience and self-expression that come with it. Gonzales will now advance to the Georgia Teacher of the Year competition.
