Bulloch County honors Veterans with a day of events, meals and discounts

The Grice Connect team has worked to compile a list of ways our community is coming together to honor our Veterans and active duty military members. This list includes some of the events, free meals and discounts businesses are providing to honor Veterans. Feel free to add others events or discounts for Veterans in the comments on social media.

The Mortons live and work on a 65-acre Centennial Farm in Bulloch County, carrying on the tradition of growing sugarcane and making syrup that was started by Trish's dad, Lannie Lee. They recently presented at the Botanic Garden's Gather & Grow series and offered a taste of all the ways you can enjoy this liquid gold.

The public is invited to an opening reception at the Henderson Library in Statesboro on Wednesday, November 13.

The American Legion Dexter Allen Post 90 invites the Statesboro community to their annual Veterans Day tribute honoring the dedication and sacrifices of our service members. This year’s program, hosted at the Averitt Center for the Arts on November 11th, will feature special music, refreshments, and a keynote address by Chaplain (LTC) Nick Spletstoser.
