Morris Bank welcomes four new members to join the bank’s Bulloch County Advisory Board. This group helps to determine the strategic direction for the organization and offers advice on improving operations and generating business development within and around Bulloch County.

Dr. Don Aaron, a native of Sylvania, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Optim Orthopedics, specializing in sports medicine. After graduating from Mercer University School of Medicine, he completed a five-year orthopedic residency program at Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee and served as chief resident. From there, he trained in the sports medicine specialty at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Aaron joined the Optim team in Statesboro in 2007 where he and his wife, Lisa, have rooted their family (Don & Mattie, Will, Ben, and Lane) into the Bulloch County community. Outside of work and family, Don has served on the Bulloch Academy Board and currently serves on the Georgia Southern University Foundation Board, Optim Healthcare Board, and is a team physician for local high schools in Bulloch County.

Joe “Matt” Mathews was born and raised in Bulloch County and is proud to be a 5th generation member of the Bulloch County business community. Matt is a partner at the law firm of Bruce, Mathews & Lavoie and currently focuses his practice on transactional law and real estate. After graduating from Bulloch Academy, he attended the University of Miami, earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Marine Affairs and Policy and minoring in Economics.
From there, Matt received his law degree from the University of Florida, graduating with honors and a certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law. He is admitted to the Georgia and Florida Bars, an active member of Southbridge Community Church, and is the recent past president of the Rotary Club of Statesboro. Matt and his wife, Loren, stay active in the community raising their two sons, Fisher and Keaton.

Alex McGhee is a native of Dublin, Georgia and currently serves the Bulloch County area as Regional Leader for Edward Jones. He received his BA in Finance from Georgia Southern University and stayed in Statesboro where he and his wife, Jacey, are raising their two boys, Smith and Hampton.
Over the years, Alex has been an active member in the community. He is involved in the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce, a graduate of the Leadership Bulloch class of 2015, and a former co-chair of the Leadership Bulloch class of 2021.

Dr. Marie Wall is a dentist and owner of Wall Orthodontics in Statesboro. After graduating high school from Saint Vincent’s Academy in Savannah, she attended Sweet Briar College and completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia. She and her husband, Dr. Michael Wall, opened their orthodontics practice in 2010 in Bulloch County and have made Statesboro home where they are raising their three daughters, Sophia, Camille, and Lucy. Marie has played an active role in community leadership positions at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Bulloch Academy, and Choices of the Heart Pregnancy Center.
