West Main street was blocked on Thursday, March 7, 2024 while firefighters were on the scene of a house fire.
Bulloch County 911 dispatched Statesboro and Bulloch Fire Departments to a house fire in the 200 block of West Main at 5:30 PM.
The fire was believed to have started in the kitchen area of the home. Firefighters were on the scene in minutes and made a rapid and aggressive attack on the fire and obtained black out of the fire in minutes.
Firefighters remained on the scene for over an hour ventilating smoke out of the home and ensuring all of the hot spots were extinguished.
Bulloch County EMS responded as a precaution, but there were no injuries reported.
Statesboro Police Department officers assisted with traffic control as the road was blocked during the response.
