This Saturday, April 29, W.E. MOVE! Tutoring Group will hold a grand opening for its new location at the Statesboro Family YMCA. The event will begin at 10am at the Y, located at 409 Clairborne Avenue.

The non-profit tutoring service, founded in 2018, will celebrate a fresh start in its new home, made possible by its partnership with the YMCA, the Bulloch County Board of Commissioners, and many volunteers.

"We hope to see parents, students, teachers and all the amazing hearts and hands that have made this space for academic engagement and fun possible for our PreK-8th grade students," Marie Williams, Executive Director, said. "Without hearts, hands, and feet like yours, we would not be here to serve our young scholars. We want you to know how much we appreciate you!"

The tutors at W.E. MOVE! are Georgia Southern Students from various majors and the Collegiate 100 Men and Women chapters who have the patience and dedication to learn their student’s likes, dislikes, struggles, and strengths and then use creative, hands-on activities to help their student, in a one-on-one setting, achieve success in their area of academic challenge. Each tutor is constantly urged to be a problem solver and push the creative envelope as far as necessary to solidify each concept.

"We mean to be unconventional in our approach to education because our students are unconventional in the way they learn, and we want them to know that it’s ok to learn your way!" --W.E. MOVE!

All Bulloch County parents are invited to attend, as well, to learn about upcoming program offerings. Registration for summer programs is now available at https://wemovetg.wordpress.com/register/
