First Baptist Church Statesboro will host a Christian Parenting Conference January 26-27, 2024. Calling all parents -- married, single, multi-generational -- from Statesboro, Bulloch County, Metter, Millen and surrounding areas! Everyone is welcome!

“Being a parent is one of the most important jobs you can have, but raising kids is arguably more difficult than ever. We want to help you succeed as a parent! Despite the many outside influences in today's world, you as a parent still have the biggest impact on your child's life,” said Robbie Norman, Discipleship Pastor at First Baptist Church Statesboro.

This Christian Parenting Conference seeks to provide a general framework for Christian parenting and to help parents navigate many complex situations including issues surrounding technology use, gender and sexuality, single parenting, the establishment of helpful rhythms within the home in a culture of hurry, being a gospel-centered home, and more.

This is the first Christian Parenting Conference held at FBC Statesboro.

“The conference was birthed out of the desire to serve parents and help fill the need in the community,” Norman added. “We want to invest and help parents succeed in raising their kids. With the current landscape of our culture, it is more important than ever for parents to grow in their God-given role of parenting. This conference will help parents know they are not all alone in this pursuit and will allow them to connect with other parents for ongoing support.”

Dr. Tim McKnight is the keynote speaker and one of the breakout session leaders. He is the Director of the Global Center for Youth Ministry and Associate Professor of Missions and Student Ministry at Anderson University’s Clamp Divinity School in Anderson, South Carolina.

Dr. McKnight is an author, founder of a ministry focused on helping people live, love, and lead like Jesus in every aspect of their lives. He also serves as a church planter and lead pastor.
