In honor of National Nurses Week, Optim Medical Center-Screven celebrated the exceptional nursing team as part of its Nursing Excellence Awards. This new initiative recognizes nurses who consistently go above and beyond in their dedication to patient care, the nursing profession, and their colleagues.
Michelle Harrell, RN, has been selected by her peers as the recipient of the 2025 Nursing Excellence Award. Michelle’s exemplary care, compassion, and commitment to her patients earned her this prestigious recognition. Her peers have lauded her unwavering dedication to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.
In addition to Michelle’s recognition, Heather Thompson, RN and Christi Guhl, LPN were also nominated by their colleagues for their outstanding contributions to patient care. Both nurses have demonstrated exceptional skill, empathy, and leadership in their roles, making a meaningful impact on the team and the patients they serve.
