There’s a new restaurant in town!

If you’re hungry for ramen noodles (and not the ninety-nine cent packet), Miso Hungry, located at 609 Brannen Street #9, has you covered.

Brandon Blair and Roger (Trey) van den Bosbh, the two entrepreneurs who opened Miso Hungry, connected over a shared love for noodle bars.

“Growing up, my dad and I went to hundreds of noodle bars together and it was always very memorable. After my Dad’s passing, the restaurant has almost served as a way to honor his memory,” Trey told Grice Connect.

Blair shared the same love of noodles with his daughter. From this shared connection, the idea for Miso Hungry was born.

“We’d really like people to know that we’re not claiming to be authentic Asian food. We’re just two guys having fun, and hoping to connect with the local community,” Blair said.

Miso Hungry held their soft opening on Friday, June 23rd. Despite it only being a soft opening, the restaurant was packed with eager customers ready to try out the newest Statesboro small business.

The restaurant will be serving a partial menu as they aim for a grand opening in early August.

“We really want to use this summer period as a way to get input and feedback from friends, family, and Statesboro locals to help turn the restaurant into something great,” Trey said.

They will be adding to the menu as time goes on, and as the availability of products changes. The pair also plan to host video game tournaments and viewing parties for popular TV shows and movies in the future.

Be sure to stop by and get a taste of the fantastic noodle dishes being served right here in Statesboro!
