Charly Kinship, a passionate advocate for eco-friendly living and an Earth ambassador, has established Kinship Endeavors in the heart of the Boro—a distinctive storefront that serves as an educational hub and a supplier of sustainable products.

Rooted in the belief that conscious living can wield a positive impact on personal budgets and the planet alike, Kinship actively engages the community through a series of seminars, workshops, and fruitful collaborations with local artisans. This collaborative effort fills her unique store with a rich tapestry of natural, handmade, upcycled, and recycled items.

At Kinship Endeavors, the storefront itself is a showcase of eco-friendly and upcycled artisan works, each item highlighting the importance of recycling and repurposing to minimize the impact on landfills. One notable collaborator, Stan, transforms transparent glass items into artistic creations, illustrating the transformative power of recycling. The inventory is diverse, featuring an extensive array of eco-friendly, low and no-waste products alongside a curated selection of homemade goods.

Charly Kinship's overarching philosophy centers around providing sustainable product options and guiding individuals toward conscious consumerism. With a professional background in business administration and over seven years of seminar work spanning three states, Kinship has seamlessly translated her vision into something tangible, with a particular emphasis on creating sustainability in key areas of the home, such as the laundry room, kitchen, and bathroom.

Among the eco-conscious products that adorn the shelves are wool dryer balls, laundry soap nuts, bamboo cleaning brushes, and homemade dish soaps—all meticulously crafted by Kinship herself. In addition to these essentials, she also offers her own bars of no-waste shampoo, conditioner, and body soaps.

Looking ahead, Kinship Endeavors envisions forming partnerships with local farmers, such as Hazelnut Pastures, to bring fresh, locally sourced goods to the store. The ultimate goal is to transform the space into a bulk refillery, utilizing eco-friendly packaging in jars to honor nature both internally and externally. The store's commitment goes beyond meeting the needs of consumers—it aspires to be a nurturing force for the planet.

img_7506As a homesteader with great goals for her own land, Kinship actively seeks to deepen her engagement, collaborating with local farmers and other homesteaders to promote gardening sustainability and organic growing processes. A meeting is currently in the works for January that aims to bring participants together for discussions on planting strategies, fostering a sense of community and shared resources.

While Kinship Endeavors has been open for a soft launch, the grand opening is set for 11/11 and promises a significant showcasing to celebrate the beginning of this new endeavor. Beyond its role as a business, Kinship Endeavors stands as a platform for giving back, with Charly Kinship underscoring the importance of supporting artisans, charities, and initiatives that benefit the planet, people, and animals.

Kinship encourages patrons to donate unused fabrics, sewing materials, and jars, which are then donated to uplift and empower the community, aligning seamlessly with the mission of local nonprofit Lift As You Grow. As her presence grows, Kinship hopes to donate to more nonprofits in the area. Recently, she also started accepting old sneakers for a program that repurposes them into playground equipment.

A notable community initiative launched by Kinship is the Free Market in the Boro, a monthly event held every second Saturday. This gathering encourages locals to exchange items, promoting sustainability and reducing waste. From clothing and household goods to books, movies, toys, and more, everything at the event is freely shared among community members. img_7530

Demonstrations are also offered during the Free Market extending the event beyond mere item exchange. These demonstrations encompass diverse activities such as Yoga, Wellness sessions, Sound Bathing, Self-Defense workshops, and Repurpose and Repair demonstrations, creating a holistic experience for the community.

In her tireless pursuit of sustainability, Kinship actively cultivates partnerships with other local, small businesses, recognizing that collaboration is pivotal to achieving broader goals. While convincing the collective to adopt eco-friendly practices may present challenges, Kinship remains unwaveringly optimistic. The store's proactive stance on conscious consumerism and recycling contributes meaningfully to the collective effort of making incremental changes that, over time, accumulate into a significant positive impact.

In essence, Kinship Endeavors transcends the conventional role of a store; it embodies a movement toward a more sustainable, conscious, and eco-friendly way of life. Charly Kinship invites individuals to be not just consumers but mindful stewards of the planet, fostering a community dedicated to positive change and sustainable living.

Kinship Endeavors is located at 2429 Northside Dr West, Statesboro, GA (in the former Little Doses/Three Beaus and a Belle). The store is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9am-5pm. For more information, call the store at (912) 360-8477.
