Home heavily damaged by fire in Statesboro Thursday night

A late night fire caused heavy damage to a home in the City of Statesboro on Thursday evening.

A home in the City of Statesboro, GA was heavily damaged by fire on Thursday night, November 30, 2023.

Bulloch County 911 dispatched Statesboro Police Department officers around 10:12 PM to a distress call on Hart Lane.  When officers arrived they found a house on fire.

911 dispatched Statesboro and Bulloch fire departments to the house fire.  When the first firefighters arrived on the scene they reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the single story wood home and requested additional engines and firefighters.

Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack on the fire getting it under control in minutes.  

The home suffered major heat, fire, smoke and water damage.

Firefighters remained on the scene over an hour making sure all of the hot spots were extinguished.

No one was injured in the fire.

Statesboro Fire CAFE unit responded to assist firefighters at the scene.

The American Red Cross Disaster Action Team was requested to provide temporary assistance to the occupants.

Bulloch County EMS responded as a precaution.  

Statesboro Police Officers also responded to assist.

Statesboro Fire Investigators will conduct a routine cause and origin investigation.
