Georgia Southern women's tennis head coach Sean McCaffrey is offering free spring break tennis sessions for children ages 7 to 18 this week through his SeanMac Tennis Academy.

Assisted by senior player Sonia Keranen, the Academy will host two sessions: Monday, April 1, from 4:15-6pm and Wednesday, April 3, from 4:15-6pm at the Wallis Tennis Center near Hanner Fieldhouse on the Georgia Southern campus.

Keranen says they would like to offer all Statesboro and Bulloch county children the chance to try tennis for free.

"We would like to bring back the sport of tennis in this community," she said. "Our goal is to deliver a conscientious and caring system that will help kids to advance in the game of tennis working with NCAA Division-1 coaches and student-athletes."

Participants do not need to bring tennis racquets, and they do not need to have any previous experience. Camps are open to all, limited only by age and number of participants

The Academy will also host summer camps this year for grades 3-5 and 6-12. A full listing of dates and other details is available here.
