This Valentine's Day, join your partner (or friend) for a night of dancing downtown. The Averitt Center for the Arts will host a ballroom dance workshop from 6:30-7:30pm on February 14th, instructed by Michael McCurdy.
You will learn to dance the Merengue and Bachata for a little Latin flair, East Coast Swing to get the heart pumping, and American Tango to add a little sophistication to the evening.

About Michael McCurdy
Michael has studied social and ballroom dancing for almost 20 years with some of the top dance instructors in Florida, including Phil and Tanya Palma (South Florida), Herb and Margaret Vazquez (West Palm Beach), and Cindie and José Marino (Orlando). Michael has also been a studio instructor with Herb and Margaret Vazquez, specializing in ballroom fundamentals with a focus on partner connection. Through his background as a formally trained musician and as a professional music teacher, Michael guides his students into developing a personalized understanding of partner dancing.
