On Friday, May 3, 2024, the Statesboro-Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual golf tournament at the Forest Heights Country Club. The Jimmy Buffett-themed event, PARgaritaville, hosted 176 golfers, who made up 44 teams, making it the largest ever Chamber golf tournament.
“The Chamber golf tournament is always one of the most anticipated events of the year. It isn’t just about playing golf; it’s an opportunity for our business leaders to network while engaging in a little friendly competition,” said Jennifer Davis, CEO of the Chamber. “We’d like to thank our presenting sponsor, Bulloch Solutions, and all our sponsors for helping to make this year's tournament the best one yet!”
The Chamber awarded groups with the lowest gross score and the lowest net score (gross score minus handicap) from both the morning flight and the afternoon flights.
The foursome of Matt Stevens, Blakeley Brown, Davis Childs, and Smith Reeves carded the lowest gross score while Mike Box, Brooks Dyess, Chris Fisher, and Dustin Nail had the lowest net score from the morning session.
Kyle Sherfessee, Geoff Del Forn, Scott Odell, and Kyle Hadden recorded the lowest gross score with Neil Kirkland, Troy Berry, Chandler Wright, and Kenny Salter bringing home the lowest net for the afternoon teams.
The tournament even saw Chris Tiller card a hole-in-one on hole #15!
