Application period for Energy Assistance Cooling Program opens April 1

Households where all adult members are 65 or older or all adult members are medically homebound may apply beginning April 1, 2024, at 9am. All other low-income households may apply beginning May 1, 2024, if funds are available.

Beginning April 1, 2024, at 9:00am, households where all adult members are 65 or older or all adult members are medically homebound may apply for the Energy Cooling Assistance Program. This program is part of the federally funded and administered Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).  

All other low-income households may apply beginning May 1, 2024, if funds are available. Crisis funding may also be available for households who are disconnected or within 7 days of disconnection. Call Bulloch County Action Pact Service Center at (912) 489-1604 for more information.

Funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligibility for this program is determined by the income of all adults living in the household (see chart below).
