"This is our 2nd annual Spookyfest that we've hosted at Splash in the Boro. The main reason we do this event is to have a low-cost, family fun event for local families to attend and enjoy within the community," said Michala Hobbs, Head Guard at Splash in the Boro. "Splash in the Boro is big about serving our community and events like these bring our community together. Some of our highlights this year are apple bobbing, our costume contest, and our haunted lazy river taking place later in the evening."
Old Farm Day at Anderson's General Store
The 13th Annual "Old Farm Day" took place on Saturday, October 28, at Anderson's General Store. The event had games, bounce houses, raffles, food vendors, pumpkin chunkin', animals, and so much more.

"This is our 13th annual Old Farm Day. The Anderson Family are Bulloch County residents who run the store, and they are big on community outreach and giving back to the community," stated Liz Marsh, Marketing and Special Events Coordinator at Anderson's General Store.
"This is a free event and the turnout this year is bigger than ever. We added additional parking, more food trucks, more craft vendors, and many other features. Furthermore, from our raffles, 100% of the proceeds will go to Georgia Kate Anderson. We also have a Coca-Cola truck and our Bull Ride proceeds, which will also be going to Georgia Kate Anderson as well."
Trunk or Treat at the Statesboro Family YMCA
The Statesboro Family YMCA's Trunk or Treat took place on Saturday, October 28th, from 4p-6p.

The event hosted hundreds of families for an evening of fun, games, and lots of candy. Read more HERE.
"This is a super fun and safe way for local families in Statesboro to Trunk or Treat," stated Hannah Beggs, Executive Branch Director at the Statesboro Family YMCA.
"It is completely free and we have organizations and businesses come out from the community to help give out candy. This year we have some nutritionists present giving out fruit as an alternative for children. We have had so many families and children come through this year, that we had to go back to the store to purchase more candy. We will surpass last year's cap of 800 people, as several hundred families have already shown up to participate in our Trunk or Treat event this year."
